Best 4 years Ever!

Today my little Carson turned 4. Each year has gone by so fast, but this one has especially. I was pregnant and had a baby, and knew it was the last little while I had to spend one on one with my little buddy. Every day he makes me laugh, and sometimes I just look at him and as cheesy as it sounds feel like my heart is melting. He is the best little boy I could ever ask for. Here's some cute things that I love about him:
1. He told me the other day, "When I was Sam's age, I could spend the night at Grandma's." Sam is twelve BTW.
2. We should call Amelia : Bubba
3. I was making dinner - a chicken dish, and Carson asked me, "Why do you have to make chicken all of the time? I don't like chicken."
4. Today we went mikin' bikin' - A.K.A. mountain biking.
5. Some of his friends that come play are Scooby, Tom, and Jerry.
6. He talks to our neighbors more than I have in the 6 years we have lived there. The other day he walked over to just chat with the guy sawing stuff in his drive way. They looked like they were having an interesting conversation.
7. He wanted Harris to do something the other day (can't remember what) and Harris asked him why. Carson said, "Cuz Heavenly Father wants you to."
8. His prayer at night always and almost only consists of "Thank you for Oscar." Oscar is our dog.

There are so many things I could talk about this boy. I just love him so much. In the words of Brinlee, "Oh Carson, Happy Birthday!"

Carson got to celebrate his B-day at preschool today. We brought blue Krispie Kremes. The kids devoured them. He got this sweet hat and a book from his teacher.

This is the humungo "Nerd" gun he got from Grandma. That's what he calls it, but it's bigger than him!

Blowing out the candles. Sadly, I can't find my You are Special plate.

We took Little Miss to Grandma's and went Mikin' Bikin' for his B-day. It was fun, especially watching Harris pull Carson with the Tag-a-long bike.

2 Months!

Amelia is 2 months old now. She had her well baby check-up and shots to celebrate! The shots were not good, and I saw a big difference between boys and girls that day, but the check-up went well.

Her stats are:
weight = 9 lbs. 15 oz., 26 %tile
length = 22.75 in., 64 %tile
head = 15 in., 31 %tile

For the most part she's pretty proportionate (aka her head is not ginormous) so that was exciting! She's getting more and more smiley each day and is picking up quite a personality. This little girl is awesome.

My Preschooler

Last week started Carson's first week of preschool! We are so excited! He looked so cute on his first day. I always thought I would bawl my eyes out when this time came, but I am actually really excited for him since I know how much fun he is going to have, plus I have another little one keeping me busy :) I do have to admit, though, while taking his picture I did get slightly teary eyed. I got to take him to his open house. We did some fun stuff while we were there, and he got to meet his teacher (who I know very well and was actually my preschool teacher also). I can't believe this little baby of mine is old enough to go to preschool...and he turns four in exactly one week! Time flies! He really is the best little guy I could ask for! We are really looking forward to this year. It's going to be great!

Happy Birthday Old Man!

Harris turned 29 on the 16th! We didn't do much because even though it had been a few weeks since the baby was born, we can't really go out and party all night long like we used to! Plus, his birthday was on a Sunday. So we went to Tucanos on Saturday night with some good friends. I ordered the salad bar since it's not really the best place for a post-pregnancy weight loss plan! But the boys loved it as usual, trying to see if they could eat enough to start sweating! Then, on Sunday night all of our buddies came over for the best kind of cake and ice cream...hot fudge sundaes! I think he had a good time. We love you Harris! Happy Birthday!

Smiles

I took some pics the other day of Amelia in her cute little outfit, and was able to catch a couple of smiles.Notice no bows on her head. She gets really mad when I put them on and I'm also having a hard time keeping them on since they are still a little big. It's OK to not have them on all the time, but when she doesn't she just looks so much like Carson did when he was a baby! I guess it's a good thing she wears pink! Here's a pic of Carson to compare how similar they look. Funny thing is these are Amelia 2 months old, and Carson 1 month old.
Gotta love their round heads! I think they are adorable, but it might be a little mean to have Amelia be Charlie Brown for Halloween :)
