Family Birthday Dinner Halloween Trick-or-Treating!

Monday night we had our traditional Family Birthday Dinner and Trick-or-treating. I dressed up as Edward Scissorhands and Carson was a skunk. Unfortunately Harris didn't play along and wasn't dressed up! We had an orange dinner, then trick-or-treating from door to door inside the house, which can you believe was big enough to have 12 doors! Then we had cute monster cupcakes for the birthday part. It was a lot of fun. I did feel pretty awkward being the only adult dressed up, but oh well, I scored age 4 on facebook for "what's your real age" quiz so I totally have an excuse!

My Sissy's!

I am back from the dead! I haven't done anything exciting so it has been a while, plus I'm gearing up for YW In Excellence and Halloween in a week, but this weekend Harris went out of town which kinda stunk but I got lucky to have both of my sisters come in to town. We've been having lots of fun, which has unfortunately come along with lots of food too! Oh well, we have to indulge every now and then. I love spending time with them and there aren't very many pics of all of us together, except when we were five in our matching plaid outfits!

Pumpkin Patch!

Every year since Harris and I have been married we've gone to the pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins for Halloween. It's gotten much more fun since Carson has come along. He loves the tractor ride that we get to take out to the different patches. We went with a bunch of our friends and had a really good time.

This year they added some spice to the experience and had an actually pretty cool petting zoo along the way. They even had a zebra! The kids loved it. We got a kick out of the huge sheep that Baaaa'd like a total man! It was hilarious cuz it sounded so fake!

Brinlee and Carson were in the Littlest Christmas Tree mode except with pumpkins cuz they kept choosing the most deformed and puny pumpkins out of all of the choices they had. I finally convinced Carson to get one that was a little nicer.

Now we get to carve them and before we know it, it will be Halloween!

McKenzie's Fairy 1st Birthday!

Yay! I got to go to Rigby last weekend to visit my sister and go to McKenzie's Fairy 1st birthday party! I can't believe how big she's getting and it's so weird that she's already 1 year old! Carson loves his little cousin so much though. Any chance he got to entertain her, he took it! He would go up to her and in a high pitched voice like grown-ups use on babies he would say, "Hey cutie cutie!" It's so funny. I think Grandma was in heaven too playing with both her grandkids all weekend.

I was also happy that Whitney was able to make it. As soon as she got to Misty's house Carson ran up to her and told her he missed her. He really loves her!

These are the very cute, but time conuming cupcakes Misty and I made. They are little mini cupcakes dipped in chocolate and white chocolate. They were worth the effort though.

Poor Granpa only got to be there Saturday and came home Sunday but it was so fun to have everybody there!

This is the snowstorm in October! It snowed so much while we were there! Crazy weather!

Yay! McKenzie's first birthday cake and she LOVED it! She pretty much likes anything though!

Driving home I get really sad because I always have so much fun visiting. I wish we could all be closer because it's so much fun and I really love spending time with my sisters. It's so true that no matter what you always have your family and they are my very best friends!

Fieldtrip!

James and Charise invited us to go to McCall with them over Conference weekend. Christian and Heidi and fam came too! We all loaded up in the giant van and drove all the way there like this! It was pretty funny.

Charise was the bus driver! She handles a large van very well!

I know it stresses Charise out a little when Carson plays with Brutis, but this was pretty funny when Carson put him in Cameron's bumbo chair. He thinks Brutis is his best bud.

We went to Tamarack to watch James and Harris race cyclocross. This is the end of Harris' awesome weathered race! I think he was glad to be done.

We decided we needed to get out of the house on Sunday so we took a walk to the lake. It was nice to move around a litttle and get the kids' energy out, but we did get a little cold :)

We saw this cute little house with pretty scenery so we all took our family pic in front of it. We had a ton of fun and ate lots of great food. Thank you James and Charise and your parents for letting us come play for the weekend!
