If I Were A Princess

I got this quiz from Jenette. It's kind of fun! Oh and yay...I've always wanted to be Sleeping Beauty!

You Are Aurora! (A.K.A. Sleeping Beauty.)

Thoughtful and loving. Authority figures probably have been sheltering you all of your life. Thankfully you're a very tranquil person who is content with what life has given you, but secretly you want to know how the outside world works.

Our HUMONGOUS Boat Ride

Brian and Clarisa invited us to go with some of their family canoing. Carson was so excited about riding in our "humongous boat." I had never canoed before and it was pretty fun. We went along the bottom of the Payette River. It was very pretty and luckily we didn't tip over. I got some serious buff arms from rowing for so long!

Clarisa jumped out in a deeper part of the river and couldn't get back in. Carson thought she was pretty awesome and kept telling Daddy to jump in. He wasn't excited about how cold it was though, and never ended up jumping in!

Happy 28th Birthday!

Saturday was Harris' 28th birthday! He's moving up there! We had a really fun day starting out mountain biking (again but this time with Carson). It was pretty hot but still fun. Then we came home while I spent FOREVER on some cupcakes that were good but I'm not quite sure worth it. The cake was much easier and let me tell you, it was amazing. Very yummy. Anyways, then we went out to eat and headed over to the park for cake and ice cream (or milkshakes by the time we got to it. It was fun for the kids and we had a good time just chatting with our friends. We also got to meet Cody Miller, Jeremy and Christina's brand new baby. Overall I think Harris had a great birthday. Luckily I have a few more years til I'm that OLD! Some strange lady asked me how old he was at the park and when I told her, her comment was, "yikes"! Haha it was pretty funny. I hope you had a great birthday Harris!

5th Anniversary!

Wow...I'm such an oldey! Yesterday, August 13th, was Harris and my 5th anniversary! It just is so crazy to me that we've been married that long already. I guess that must be a good thing that it goes by fast! Anyway, we had a great day yesterday. We started out driving to Tamarack and mountain biking all day! It was sooooo awesome. I have to say my bum is pretty sore today but it was worth it. I was nervous I have to admit because first of all, I don't like traveling without my little baby. I know I'm a wussy and clingy mom but I just am really attached to that little guy. I was also nervous because it had been a year since I've been to Tamarack and I didn't want to die on my anniversary. Anyways, we rented this awesome body armor for me. It made me feel like Cat Woman so I pretty much felt invincible. After warming up I felt really confident and I'm pretty proud of how much I progressed on my sweet downhill mountain biking skills :) I went off a big rock jump and Harris was so excited about that. I think he thought it was pretty hot (haha). Then I went down this rock stair thing which in the pic doesn't look scary but let me tell you, it was! You can tell by my face in the pic that it took lots of concentration! We had a really good time.
We got home and showered and went out to eat. Don't laugh where we ate because it sounds so lame for an anniversary dinner, but it's just my favorite (plus we had a free entree for Harris' birthday). Anyway it was Red Robin and it has never tasted better since we were so exhausted and starving from tearing up the mountain.
Harris took Callie shopping the day before and they got me some cute clothes for my anniversary present. I'm glad and it may not sounds so romantic to people but my theory with flowers is that their so expensive a
nd they just die, so it was perfect! Thank you Harris for the great anniversary and I'm grateful to have such a kind husband who puts up with me and cares for me as much as you do. I'm lucky to have you for eternity and don't know what I would do without that blessing!

Family Campout!

I have been wanting to try camping with Carson since we've never done it before, but it's just so much work and a lot of gas just to go get dirty and get no sleep. So, last weekend my mom and dad had my dad's 30 year high school reunion. They were going to be there all night and Callie wasn't too thrilled about babysitting. So we decided to camp out in our backyard. We got to my house and were sitting around and decided it would be kind of lame when we got woken up at 6 am. because of the heat. Then, we decided we should just pitch the tent inside and we could watch a movie and be more comfy and not have to worry about mosquitoes. So we did! It was one of the funnest things I've done! We even made s'mores (in the microwave)! Carson had a BLAST! I love to have these good memories with him and my siblings. Pretty much there was no room in our house and we had to move the couch, which ended up working to our advantage since we were able to fit a section in the tent! Now that's what I call camping :)

He's just a Stud!

Here's my awesome little guy sportin' the goggles and floaties. He was modeling them for me. He just cracks me up.

Here Carson hauled his little pop-up tent from Uncle Sam into the living room and conned Oscar into coming inside of it. They just chilled in there together for a while and Oscar is always a good sport.

Fishing with Dad

Last Friday Harris took Carson fishing in the morning. Carson thought it was fun to fish for the first little bit, but got a little board since there was no biting and lets face it...it's Carson. He got a few pics of him but I wasn't there to get the serious photographing going on. He's a pretty cute little fisherman though.

Bike Ride Party

Harris lead the team's bike ride this past Thursday so I decided to go since I knew a lot of the people going. It has been 3 years since I've gone road biking with him so I didn't know how I would enjoy it. I still find mountain biking much more entertaining but this was pretty fun. I am glad I have been mountain biking this summer though because I felt great and we ended up riding approximately 26 miles. It was pretty low key though with Harris and Eric pulling the kiddos in the trailers. I don't have a road bike but at least I know I can be part of the gang every now and then. Oh and don't we look rad all in the same outfit!
